The Subaru dealer noted that the tires on our Outback are out of spec and it needs an alignment (it’s pulling slightly right). They won’t do the alignment without putting on new tires. The stock tires are known to be kinda crappy, so now I’m shopping for something new.
We’ll stick to something in the stock size just to make it easy. Wet weather performance is key. The stock tires get a little squirrely when the roads are wet and they’re frequently wet here in Loui siana. Any recommendations, Oppo?

If you want some all terrain performance, the Yokohama G015’s are pretty amazing. Otherwise, I’d say just snag some Michelin Defenders.

How’s the noise compared to the original tires?

I am a big fan of Continental, they always got me out of bad situations. I would prefer the extreme contacts but I don’t think they are made in the size you are looking for.

These are the OEM tires. We haven’t been impressed with their wet-weather performance, so I’m not putting Continentals back on the car.

I was thinking more off-road, but my daughter, the primary driver, nixed that idea. How’s the Hoosier’s wet weather performance?

I don't think they are street legal lol

LOVE the conti Terrain Contact A/Ts on my 2014. Madre has Geolandars on her 2012 and the Contis are superior in every way.
That being said, I’m experiencing a minor vibration from mine at highway speed and will be working with Tire Rack to hopefully exchange. They’ve been Road Force and Spin balanced multiple times to no avail.

ContiPremiumContacts are fine, the reason the stock are bad is because all-seasons are zero-seasons really. But i assume that’s a requirement for you?

The General Alitimax RT43 has been my go-to all season for a few years now. I’ve put them on a couple vehicles, just put another set on my father-in-law’s Equinox. If they made them in the size for my truck, I would have put them on there too.

Which? All-season or in stock? In-stock would be good since I need tires soon. All-season are fine since we live in Louisiana and the whole state shuts down at the first hint of snow.

I can’t say I’m too impressed with Contis right now. The car came with Pro Contacts and they’ve been a bit sketchy in the wet.

Well it sucks that you had a bad experience with them.. . Like I said earlier I’d prefer the extremes but they aren’t made in the size you need. I can only reccomend tires I have had experience with and they have seen me through all the extreme blizzards and torrential downpours NY can toss at me.

The Yoko’s were only slightly louder than the very worn tires they replaced.

Yeah the TC A/Ts drive nothing like the stock Camry tires. I did 40k on a set of General Grabber AT2s and these have almost the same bite in deep snow, while being way quieter and riding better.

I’ll back that up, the OEM conti’s are shit on the outback. I bought some Toyo’s to replace them and it’s like night and day.

I ended up buying a set of Toyo all season touring tires for our Outback. They are worlds better than the continentals that came on the car.

Thanks for the recommendation.
